Birthday Wishes......

Celebrated my birthday on July 5 at the Hideaway Cafe with a party given by John & Nicole Kelly. We had beer, pizza and birthday cake and had an awesome time with all my Florida friends....love you all very much...thank you for all you've done....I am truly blessed.....

Thanks to all my family, extended family and FB friends......for the many, many birthday wishes.....love and miss you all too !

All Aboard.......

Went to the Venice Train Depot last night which is located in Venice, Florida and now serves as an historic location and has a large room available for rentals/parties which is used by Trop Rock artist Sunny Jim White for his monthly Suncoast Serenade series/shows. This train station/depot was used by Ringling Brothers Circus for years as the end of the line where all the animals/performers were unloaded when returning home from touring. It is quite a great venue and an awesome listening room. Last night, Sunny Jim was joined by fellow Trop Rock artist Hugo Duarte. An great 3-hour performance which included many, many songs and some great stories by both.......great music, great stories and great friends.....don't miss his monthly shows....

Time to Recover........

Wow ! What a weekend ! Started out on Friday night at Skipper's Smokehouse with the Coral Reefer Show with Doyle Grisham, Robert Greenidge, Nadira Shakoor with Outside Art, Jim Mayer, John Frinzi and John Patti....outstanding lineup all hosted by JD Spradlin from Radio Margaritaville.....SOLD OUT performance which was not to be missed !!!!! Many kudos to Deb Grisham for getting this show together !!!

On to Saturday at the Florida State Fairgrounds and the famous WTF Tailgate Party......great hosting by the Tampa Bay Parrothead Club with Skipper Bryan Crews and First Mate Dorothy Bedlin, and haveing a Coral Reefer Meet & Greet......many kudos to Renee Marquiss and Shelly Speckman from Virtual Parrothead Club for a great party.....Z-Man Boat Drinks, John Frinzi, John Friday and the Charlie DeCosa Trio provided a great afternoon of music combined with the entire Parrothead community in the parking lot !!!! What a time we all had !!!

Pre-Buffett music by the Trop Rock Junkies with guests Tim Poole and Jayne Kelli....great job by all !!!! Thanks Steve and the Band !!!!

Jimmy Buffett again started his tour in Tampa and the set list was great !!!! That is why we all still love him !!!!

Well world, the tour has begun.....enjoy and Cheers !!!! Phins Up !!!

It' Parrothead Party Time................

Well fellow Parrotheads.....it's that time again for the start of the Jimmy Buffett concert tour and starting in Tampa again......we started things off last Saturday at Quaker Steak & Lube with the Pre-Pre Party and had Jimmy Parrish and the Ocean Waves playing....many thanks to Quaker Steak & Lube for their generous hosting of the Tampa Bay Parrothead Club and donations to our charities.....special thanks to First Mate Dorothy B. for all her hard work.....

This Friday at Skipper's Smokehouse is the Coral Reefer Show hosted by Margaritaville Radio's own JD Spradlin with the Coral Reefer Band, John Frinzi, John Patti and who know who else may show.......

Then it's the Jimmy Buffett concert on Saturday night at 8 PM but before....it's tailgate time in the parking lot and music by the Trop Rock Junkies on Stage B before the concert........this is gonna be one bad, bad weekend.......ouch...my head......

New company I started is up and running.....my mission statement is specializing in booking, promoting and advancing music and independent artists in their careers/ambitions, especially local artists. I am very excited to be able to represent and promote many artists who have become my friends also. Busy Weekend.....

This weekend.......March 17-20 (I start MY weekends on Thursdays which also happens to be St. Patty's Day ! Go Irish ! Cheers !

Friday Night at Ale & Witch is the awesome Jayne Kelli with a possible appearance by a special guest.....Saturday night at the same venue is the always popular Gale Trippsmith....come out for both, you won't be disappointed.......

Also this entire weekend is the Treasure Island Chamber of Commerce and Bill Edwards Presents.....Spring Fling at the Community Center and Park.....great music is scheduled...Motel Funk, Stormbringer, Rocky Ruckman, Sarasota Slim, Horses Wild, DeLei'ed Parrots and the Atlanta Rythym Section.....not to be missed !

Englewood Music Festival........

Went on a bus trip on Saturday which was sponsored by a great Trop Rock band...the TropRock Junkies headed by Steve Tolliver to the Englewood Music Festival. Full bus with the band, friends from the Hideaway Cafe and the Tampa Bay Parrothead Club.....had a good time drinking Bloody Mary's for the morning and being serenaded by the band member.....great trip down !

Upon arrival, we were just in time to get settled and see Jack Mosley and Band play at the festival. The TropRock Junkies took the stage and played a great setlist. Fellow parrotheads from Sarasota and Charlotte Harbor were there also for the good times.....great food, cold beer and awesome weather all made the day a great one ! Gonna' have to be a weekend thing next year !!!!!
